Vintage Dutch silver box featuring a raised relief scene after Rembrandt’s The Night Watch. This small hinged box is beautifully decorated with a detailed civic guard/militia scene on the lid, including the recognizable little dog at the lower right. The sides are ornamented with scrolling foliate designs, while the interior retains a warm gold-washed finish. The underside bears small hallmarks, suggesting continental European silver.
