Named Afghanistan Medal

Victorian silver Afghanistan Medal 1878–80, named on the rim to “1594. PTE C. HALL, 66th Foot”. The obverse shows Queen Victoria with “Victoria Regina et Imperatrix,” while the reverse depicts the Afghanistan campaign scene with elephant, artillery, and troops beneath “Afghanistan” and the dates 1878–79–80. A compelling named military-history piece from the Second Anglo-Afghan War, suitable as a collectible medal fob or pendant.
